Hi,
I was a Credit Card Holder of Titanium Card of ICICI Bank since 2006. My Card number was 5239511162380008. In the year of I had an excess amount than the available credit limit of Rs 126000 and amount O/s was Rs 127140. Considering this and not to bear more interests by the bank, I mad a payment of Rs 129500 on the safer side so that in case if there are any miscalculated interestd by the bank, it can be adjusted in the next statement and I do not have to bear additonal interests. No when the next statement came, all the outstanding amounts have been adjusted and this left with an addtional credit amount of Rs 1808, which accordingly Bank should have refunded on the closure of this card but this does not actually happened. Despite of my repeated requests for the excess of refund amount, I have not received that amount till date. I do have all the request numbers with me but still running to get my amount back. Normally when there is a debit of an excess amount, bank levies different taxes and penalties to us but it does not happen on the credit part as there is no rule where customer can penlaize the bank to not return the excess amount to the customer. I am filing this case in this forum as well as in consumer court also. This is a harassment from the bank on the customer where they have to run to get their own hard earned money. Any help would be appreciable from the concerned bank. All Service request number can be provided on demand.
