ABN AMRO
Credit Card Overdues showing in CIBIL while I have never used it

Hello,

I just got my CIBIL report, in which its showing overdues for the ABN AMRO card, and also the written off status, while I never used it ever. Reason for not using it was " I recieved my first bill for Rs.1200, FOUR DAYS PRIOR I RECIEVED THIS STUPID CARD OF THIS STUPID BANK. I called their customer care (actually it should be CUSTOMER?? huh WE DON'T CARE), and they told me that it was charged for the insurance policy, which, I never asked for. So, I decided not to use that card ever, and hence, destroyed it. again after few months a girl from ABN AMRO called me and asked me to pay the overdue amounts, which till then has increased. So, I asked the girl that why am being charged, she told me that I have been swiping the card. I again asked her to give me the details about when, where and for what amount, the so called swipes were done, she was unable to tell me anything. so i asked her if she can provide me any of the swiped details, and if those were for real, I would definitely pay. But she kept saying (mindlessly) that her system is showing that its been swiped, but she failed to provide me any of the details. I told her that i have never used that card ever, she said, if you are not using then why did you took this card. Till then I was just controlling my temper, i asked her to send me the details of all the transactions of that card. and when i asked her to close down that card immediately, she denied and told me that they can't do that and disconnected the phone. till date i am still waiting for the details but i havnt recieved any. recently i applied for a loan from a bank and came to know that ABN AMRO have enlisted me in the overdue defaulters list in CIBIL. So, I would really really appreciate, if anyone out there could guide me, what I should do next to sort this matter out.

Thanks a lot,

sincerely,

Ashish
