Late payment fee charged

This is Rajesh Surve. Last time I dropped a cheque at the Skybox at Andheri (Lotus Petrol Pump) but the bank has not picked up the cheque, later on they called up for not paying the money so I paid 1000 cash to them through their executive and I was told that I will not be charged late payment fees. But in my monthly statement Rs. 650/- charged as a late payment fees. When I called up customer care of ABN Amro. He said the call must be from third party and he cannot reverse on basis of their call. Later he asked me the cheque no when I drop the cheque. But that day I dropped 4 to 5 cheques so not remembering the correct ABN amro cheque so was about to provide 4 cheque numbers but he was saying he would not help and he need the correct cheque no only. The skybox is made for customer and if they are not picking up the cheque on time they charge the latepayment fee to customer and on calling to customer care they are not ready to help. This is something very poor service from ABN Amro Bank. I am using the card from last 4 years and several times I made the late payment to the bank but this time where mistake was from bank end, they are refuse to accept
