I have submitted my Payment check on 20-01 but this has been returned in my HDFC Bank account on 22nd January. I have received the information from ABN AMro Bank side today in the form of e-mail and SMS Alert after the 3 days passed of my Due date. I called customer care to give my new check number of the same amount. He has passed this information that check return charges has been implemented and he forcibly said the words "you have to pay these charges and these charges will not be reversed and late fees will also been apply".
There was another issue which i have. I have been submitted one check in the month of March-09 which was wrongly written in the format of 10-03. At that time i was told this is a post dated check. I have submitted another check for Approx Rs.1700 on that time and i have given the request that the check should be returned to me. At that time Executive said we will not sent check back to card member. I said OK. But this check was submitted without my knowledge on october 3rd 2009. What are the charges for this problem I have all the proofs of this. Required Bank statement i can show to you. Please check all my communication In March and October.
As a financial Institution, How can you send the check return information to cardmember after 4 days of the things happened. I think Bank always want how can we charge the customer.
I called in customer care on 26-01 and wanna speak with Supervisor. Mahes said there is no supervisor available till 27-01 morning 10 "o" Clock. What is this bull Shit. Why there is no supervisor available. Why i have been charged for the check return charges when i have not got the information on time. If i have got the information on 23rd or 24th i can transfer the money online but now i won't do this because i have submitted the cheque for the amount of Rs. 200 in Sector 14 ATM, Gurgaon.
If customer has been charged for the check return charges, he should be get some additional payout for those post dated cheques (Which was issued wrongly sue to date formatt) which was not returned to custimer and submitted to bank without customer's information.
