I am Ritu Agarwal staying in Delhi. I had been to Food court on DLF Mall, Saket. I ordered for one paw bhaji (Rs.62) and one raj kachori (Rs 70) from Haldiram, one garlic breadstick (Rs 70) from dominos and 2 Oreo refresher (Rs 180) from brown sugar. All the items were exclusive of VAT and when I add VAT my bill totals to Rs. 430/-.
I had taken a coupon of Rs. 900 and my refund should have been (900-430) Rs. 470 but I was returned only 370/-. The person at the cash counter was adamant that now he cannot verify as refund has been done and he doesn't have database for my coupon any more. I don't have individual bills of all the stalls but I have my refund slip containing details about my coupon no., name of cashier, amount refunded and document slip.
Question is not about money but it is about cheating a customer and not rectifying the mistake which is clearly evident and can be corrected by using database. It was by chance that I back calculated the refund amount. I am sure such a large scale business doesn't have such a poor technology that it cannot even regenerate the required data.
Please advise what should I do now? I am sure I am at right place for justice. my email id is [email protected]
