I am Amit from Gurgaon, and my complain is with regards to purchase of an alcoholic beverage during happy hours in a restaurant - 'Pind Balluchi' located in Gurgaon, DLF Phase 3. I ordered a bottle of beer along with some snacks during my recent visit to this restaurant.
The thing is during happy hours all drinks are 1 1, a person who orders one drink gets 1 more drink free. The waiter placed 2 beer bottles on the table and served us snacks which I had ordered. After we finished off the snacks and paid our bill we noticed that only 1 beer bottle was consumed out of the 2 bottles. As we began to leave, I picked up the other bottle and assumed that I could take this bottle with me. We had already paid the bill and this seemed fair.
But, then the waiter told us that we cannot take the beer bottle out. The waiter was adamant and said that we have to drink it within the restaurant. I reasoned with the waiter but to no avail. I was convinced that as I had paid the bill I was the owner of all that was ordered in the first place including the beer which was served 1 1 during happy hours.
Also, no where in the restaurant could we find a notice or an instruction indicating that the extra free drink was to be consumed only within the restaurant premises. I have the receipt of the bill which was paid and want to register a complain against Pind Balluchi Restaurant (DLF Phase 3, Gurgaon). Do let me know if I can take legal action against this restaurant.
