Today morning (5th April) my spouse and kid were supposed to go to airport to board flight to Kolkata. I called Easycab lastnight to book Cab for today morning 7:30AM. The booking was confirmed over phone and also got SMS confirming the booking (booking ID A040500464).

Per process, i was supposed to get another SMS today morning with CAB details and chauffeur contact number. Did not get any till 7:15 AM.Sensing problem i again called EasyCab. After waiting for around 10 mins over line finally talked to customer service executive and got assurance that the cab driver will contact in another 5 mins.

At 7:27 AM i got another SMS which says "Dear customer, due to technical error, we are unable to service booking no A040500464. Please ignore the car details sent. We deeply regret the inconvenience".

Now i got confused. 5 mins back i talked to EasyCab and got the assurance, and now got such SMS. To check i called easycab again. As usual again took 10 mins to get to a customer service executive. The response from that guys was "i am sorry, don't have any cab".

This is few of the most irresponsible answer i ever got. Specially because i talked to easycab 5 mins back and got the assurance. How irresponsible they can be!!!

I tried to call Meru and came to know no cab is available there before 12 noon. Rushed to a local cab rentals in my locality and could not get cab from there too.

I was losing time and seeing no other options finally took my car out at 8:10AM ans started for airport (from arekere road). Reached airport at around 9:30AM... just in time... and applied for half day leave at office...

I was surpised to see the irresponsible attitude by easycab. Could not they sensed the problem at least 30 mins early and should not they inform me in advance about the problem? How can they send SMS at last moment denying the service? Should they not have minimum courtesy to call customer in advance and then apologize?

What would have happened if i did not hace my own car and relying completely on easycab? Miss the flight!!!
