I along with my family travelling in train No. 12715 on dated 30/4 from Nanded to Jalandhar. Special Squard arrived in train at Jalna. We showed photocopy of my identity, but they had not accepted. Being repeated requests that original I/D card left over at residence. But the team saying that they have to complete our penalty target and you will get refund of the same from CCM Refund, Baroda House, New Delhi, otherwise your tickets will be cancelled and allotted to other Passengers and you will be dropped from the train. I also show them the E-mail received from IRCTC.com at the time of booking on my mobile, but they have not listen to me saying that we have to complete our target. My husband was also traveling in the same coach with another E-ticket and he showed them his original Identity card of All India Radio, but they don’t want to listen.
Since I was traveling with my child, I have no other alternative to pay the penalty. We have been charged Rs. 1000/- penalty and also cost of ticket Rs.5510/-. The actual cost of the ticket was Rs. 4923/- and they have charged excess of Rs. 587/-. We were 3 adults and 1 child but they have charged for 4 adults.
Now we have paid penalty alongwith more than double fair for same seat (paid for 7-1/2 tickets) which is not under any rule. We are ready to pay the penalty but the excess amount charged of Rs. 5510/- may kindly be refunded to me.
Please look into the matter and refund the excess amount charged from me.
