Defective Tyre - Pathetic Service by Good Year!
I refer to my request reference number Q2008110180 and Q2908110153.
I had purchased my car in Feb I have driven 20, 000 Kms so far. Recently I noticed that in my front tyre, that it has developed a bubble. During the service of my car I complained this to the car manufacturing company, to which they told me that the same will be forwarded to Good year.
Good year took 3 WEEKS to first address my concern to just come and inspect my car's tyre. They kept cancelling and re-scheduling my appointments for no reasons given to me. In flat 2 minutes of inspection, Good year engineer inspected the tyre and told me that the car been used in road and probbaly went over a bump because of which the thread of the tyre broke and the tyre developed a bubble and this is not a defect that they can cater to. I started asking the engineer questions to which he behaved so arrogantly as if I have done a crime asking him a question and how dare could I have asked a question to him. I wanted to speak to his senior, after a long discussion, I spoke with some regional service manager at good year, who was equally arrogant and behaved so rudely that he will not do anything else except to change the tyre with a new one, and that too at a cost of Rs. 4000. The customer service that I have been shown by this company employees was highly disgusting and pathetic.
Sir, I drive in Delhi / NCR city roads and thats where the car is meant to be used. I am sure that the said company used a low quality thread which could not take normal pressure and broke resulting in forming of Bullble in my tyre.
The service level provided to me has been of utmost pathetic nature and I couldn't have expected this from a brand like Good Year! But probably Good Year now gives a damn to its customers! I will now not buy a product from such a company and would not recommend it to anyone around!
