First and foremost let me say sorry for the delay in reporting about this incident. This happened in the last week of July. I'll explain the matter briefly.
I went for my annual holidays (3 weeks), by parking my Zen Estilo in the Car Shed.
After coming back, when I started the Car it was not moving either to the front side or the back side.
When I contacted the Works Manager at Venkat Motors Hassan, he has advised me to move the vehicle little bit to the front and little bit to the back side. Even after trying so many times the vehicle was not moving. According to him the break liner might have got jammed. For this only he has suggested the above mentioned REMEDY.
After 24 hours, he has sent his representative to my place.
He took the Vehicle to Service centre and got the break liner changed and brought it to my houe by around 9 PM in the night.
Poor boy, locked the door and gave me the key along with the bill of Rs 1190/-
When I told him that I've just completed one year out of 3 year warranty period, he contacted the Works Managerat Hassan to find out whether the bill comes under warranty. I could hear the "Manager " ADVISING hjs person to lock the Vehicle and keep the key with him, till I pay the money.
With God's Grace I was in a position to pay Rs 1190 to that person.
I dont know whether I am entitled for the free replacement.
HOWEVER I WOULD LIKE TO TELL YOU THAT THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO BEHAVE WITH YOUR CUSTOMER.
AS A CUSTOMER, WE EXPECT A MINIMUM MANNERS FROM A MANAGERIAL PERSON.
I was thinking of changing my vehicle to Swift Dezire. Due this incident I have dropped the idea.
Also I wish to know whether I can reimburse the amount of Rs 1600 or so which I have paid for 3rd year warranty.
I am not at all happy with this type of behaviour.
