I was travelling from Kolkata to New York JFK via Delhi in Air India on 7th Dec. My luggage was checked in till JFK in Kolkata. But on arriving at JFK I found my luggage did not arrive. This happened with most of the passengers who boarded from kolkata. Then I logged a lost luggage complaint at JFK on 8th Dec morning NY time with refernece number JFKAI17321/08DEC0971207GMT.I gave the address and the contact person name of my stay in Bogota, Colombia where I have to stay for some months.
Also I have called up the JFK airport several times without any affect. I have even dropped a mail to [email protected] whose email id I found from the complaint centre. But even after repeated mails no one bothered to call me or reply to my mails.
I am at a complete mess. Above all I do not have sufficient dress and other essentials including regular medicines which I brought along with me in my luggage. I am spending extra money to buy essential clothings and other goods. Soon I will be short of money too beacuse of this.
This is a horrible experience and harrassment I am going through and I really do not know where to get help. I really want to know what is the procedure to take legal actions against the company and its service.
