I bought an hcl laptop in sep 2008. No problems. Off late the on/off switch stopped responding. I went to the local dealer in Mhow, who gave me the address of the authorised service centre (ADTEK) in Indore. I took leave from office and reached Indore on 08 Sep at around 1200 h. The receptionist, who didn't know how to speak politely, informed me that I can expect my laptop only by next week. On telling her that I am going out of station soon, and I would like to find the problem by today, she said OK and gave me a receipt. I left the place and spent my time in other things and called her at 2:30 pm and there was no progress, they didn't even had touched/checked my laptop. Then again I called her up at 4:30pm. Still they had not even checked up my laptop and told me to leave it there, by that time it was enough for me. I told them if they can tell me by 6:00pm or I'll rather take it back. I reached them at aroun 6:30pm to find to my disbelief that still hadn't touched my laptop..I asked for the head of the place, who was missing.
Hope that people in HCL will realise this problem of lack of respect for customer' s time and do something about it soon...
