Respected Sir,
I cannot tell how hard it was for me to type this email. I am using an On-Screen keyboard because my HCL keyboard has not been replaced yet. I reported the complaint on June 7. A person came on June 11 (more than your 24-48 hours time, which I am not even complaining about) with a replacement keyboard. The condition of this keyboard was very bad. There were more number of scratches than the keys. It was full of dust. It was not in a condition to be accepted.
I am ready to accept a refurbished keyboard not an old and scratched one. I understand that replacing with a new keyboard is not possible. It doesn't mean that you can give me a broken keyboard.
The engineer who was present then said that he can take my keyboard for repairing. I was ok with this. But he refused to leave the other keyboard for the time till repairing. So I completely refused. He had no other resolution.
Then this person prepared his notes and asked me to sign on it. I mentioned my remarks and reason for not accepting the keyboard. For some unknown reason, the engineer wanted me to mention that "I refused to give the keyboard for repairing on his visit."... well that's not true... I refused to take a broken keyboard. He didn't want me to mention that he brought such a keyboard.
My complaint number is 076110102.
Hopefully you can help me or tell me where I was wrong... in expecting some warranty service from HCL or by selecting HCL in the first place..??
