Dear Sir/Madam,
With due respect, I would like to bring into your notice the discrepancies in the admission process of PhD (Sanskrit) at Guru Nanak Dev University in Amritsar-Punjab. There are eight no. of students who have successfully cleared the eligibility test held on 8-Aug for PhD in Sanskrit Stream, so it has been for 1 year and 2 months since they have cleared the exam, but still have not got admission. The reason is the head of the department Dr. Dalbir Singh is not responding well to the students and telling that I am the final authority to let you people get the admission as the eligibility test is not the only thing that is required. As all the students feel cheated because they are not able to decide what to do even after clearing the eligibility test they are prevented from getting admission. The head of the department Dr. Dalbir Singh has been approached several times by the students but he is not ready to clarify anything regarding admission.
This is very sad and shameful that the students, who have spent their precious time and done hard work for admission in PhD, are being neglected and compelled to bear the discrepancies of university authorities and management.
You are requested to look into the matter as early as possible and save the future of students.
