Students were irked to see the extremely poor results in all three streams of intermediate science, arts and commerce that were declared by the council on Friday.
While 28% students have been declared pass in the science stream, 42.44% of students were declared pass in commerce and 52.66% passed in arts stream. Students claimed that in some of the papers they have been shown absent while in some they have obtained as low as 4-5 marks out of 100. "I am sure to obtain first division marks in mathematics paper whereas only 5 marks has been awarded to me in the paper, " claimed Priyanka Kumari.
Laxmi Singh tried to pacify the students and accepted certain lapses in the evaluation process. "I have asked the students to apply for urgent scrutiny if they were present in examination and have been erroneously shown absent or if they want their copies to be scrutinized, " she said.
