Respected Sir,
My son is 3 (27.04.2006) born and we are residing at 2224, Outram Lines, G.T.B. Nagar Delhi - 1110009. I have applied to almost 15 schools in North and Central Delhi for the admission of my son to Pre-school. The nearest school to my house is The Srijan School (Model Town; dist - 3.0 kms), Kulachi Hansraj (Ashok Vihar - dist - 4 kms), Montfort School (Ashok Vihar - dist - 4.8 kms). In all the schools the criteria is like
1) Points based on location (Distance) -
2) Points for Alumni
3) Points for Sibling
4) Points for EWS
5) Points for Girl Child
Now for your information my child is not a girl child, neither he is from weaker section. Secondly he is our first child. Thirdly my wife has studied from East Delhi and i have studied from South Delhi. So we donnot get points for Alumni as well. Apart from this we are well to do family so we dont fall in weaker section also. Now the most ironical part is that even to nearest schools our points are not enough to let my child get the admission.
Being a General category person i am not able to put my school in a good reputed school. We are not through in any of the 14 schools we applied for as other schools are at more far from our house. My son is so talented that he can do counting even upto 100 at this age. His observations are very sharp. But today i am feeling like defeated person who is working in a good position in a good company but cannot put his child in a good school!!!
