I purchased Nokia-6233 GSM handset from M/S Bhushan General Store, Bathinda vide Receipt No 451 dated 01-08-06 who further purchased it from M/S Star Telecom, Bathinda vide receipt no 78 dated 01-08-06 against one year guarantee.
The said handset went out of order in March i.e. just after 7 months after purchase. It was shown to Nokia Care Centre, Hanuman Chowk, Bathinda. I was told that some software of the handset has got some trouble.& it will be got repaired from the Chandigarh Nokia Care Center within a fortnight.
After various visits to the Bathinda Center, I was told that the filter of the handset had got damaged and it is not within their purview to get it repaired within the guarantee period. After intervention of the dealer, the set was sent to the other Nokia Care Center which is located at Amrik Singh Road, Bathinda, who assured me to get it repaired from the Delhi Centre within a fortnight. I handed over the set to them. But after about 3 weeks, they informed me that the they are unable to replace/repair the set. All my pleas to replace the defective set within the guarantee period have fallen on deaf ears. They rather misbehaved with me.
I am suffering mental agony due to the indifferent attitude of Nokia Care Executives. A lot of time has been wasted besides facing harassment during this period. It is well known that I opted for the Nokia set (one of the costliest ones) only on the general perception that the Nokia sets are trouble free, trusted & for the best after sales service. But all this has proved to be just a myth.
