I am practicing doctor, Dr. Harprit Singh, with reputed Padamshree Dr. P Venogopalan and felt the need of “smart phone”. My friend has bought blackberry model 8230 CDMA phone last year in Mumbai in November and using it for reliance number. Handset details

I tempted to use blackberry to have a feel of the same and market repute. I got this particular handset in Delhi and programmed my number 9311555663, from reliance web world. I have been using this handset for around 6 months now.
However there has been repeat problem of software. Software error was so much that I have to reload software from desktop manager frequently. Bluetooth stopped working around 3 months of use.
Now handset is not booting up. Handset is in Delhi. I approached service center as follows (available on internet blackberry site)

This particular service center did not take up the request but referred to reliance web world in Lajpat Nagar (nearby location). Later on I was referred to south extension, blackberry help desk in reliance web world, south extension. In Delhi these locations are nearby, but have very high traffic density so driving time is extremely high. During this whole movement I lost the original bill of the handset. Just to get handset corrected I have to leave two day of hospital. Strange! It’s really invaluable time lost on the roads just because no clear cut instruction are there, which center will be cater to such problems. Customer should take a day off. That’s great service!
On reaching center fees was Rs. 4500/- and I request to confirm/ check, the handset is still in warranty. Answer was “just produce the bill”. I accept that I have misplaced the bill while moving around from one location to other. However, all other documents and barcode are there. When the phone has been activated and used one can track all the details of the handset. Handset can be used only after programming by reliance web world, implies that it is not a grey market product. But the manager is blank clearly stating that we cannot trace any details. When requested to make call forwarding, so that I can at least receive calls, it was also refused. That’s not at all expected from reputed company such as blackberry.
My purpose of writing you is to help blackberry:
• Kindly ensure system is in place. Should start valuing the customer time. Great product does not make company. Great company makes a great product.
• Kindly get the handset rectified/ changed. I have been cut off from world form more than 2 weeks now.
I am forced to get the reissue of OMH Sim and I feel I am not going to use blackberry at all in my life time.
