Nokia 503 headset brand new not working

I have bought a brand new Nokia 503 headset form CIRCONIA via Rediff shopping, I got the item via courier.

But the device is faulty and couldn't use even once. It just shows a red lamp on charging that is all, doesn't even switch on

Kindly help me as am in a distressed situation because I cannot reach the vendor as am from a far place.

I saw similiar complaint but they all used it atleast once, but my device I couldnt use it at all.
