Poor quality and poor service

My cable operator suggested me to buy this set top box for digital clarity on my LCD. the set top box worked for a few days and then started giving problems such as the picture being still, no signal from the service operator etc. then the cable operator asked me to change the cable supply wire, whcih we did immediately. inspite of that it didnt work out. and now as i have paid yearly charges for the same, my cable operator is not responding to me at all, and also ignoring my phone calls. i asked him to take back this set top box and return my money back and continue with the cable service as earlier, but he is not ready to do that. he just doesnt want to return my money.pls help.
