II have been duped by Deals and You and Ritco. Actually I ordered blackberry 8110 Pearl costing around Rs 6000/-.
I was assured before buying the handset that it will be a new one, I bought it as a gift for a loved one and have faced so much humiliations. The outer cover of the set was new but the inner condition is real bad. While placing the order I cross checked with Deals and You executives 4-5 times if I would be getting an fresh blackberry or a second hand one and I was told that the original set with original bills and support from black berry would be provided.
At that time all people said that everything would be fine and now they are sending me lenghty emails disclaiming all responsibility.
1. But handset delivered without original bills, the box was without seal and came to me opened, This looks like a used blackberry and it does not work. These people really duped me.
2. The “IMEI” number of given handset is INVALID. IMEI number for given handset is “351961025185610”, is invalid. Check this number on http://www.numberingplans.com/? page=analysis&sub=imeinr
3. When I called to Ritco tech, who Deals and You directed me to the Ritco executives putting the things back on Deals and You. Commenting that “You had a deal with “Deals and You” not with us, so now please go and talk only with them”. And on the top Deals and you is putting the case back on Ritco Tech.
I have now noone to approach and I have been duped out of Rs.6000/- not counting my mental trauma and the hundreds of rupees I spent on phone calls and time spent on running around for this.
From last 15 days there has been no response to my mails even.
I want to a case against both Ritco Tech and Deals and You in the consumer court. Can someone please let me know how I can proceed on this?
