I bought an Aakash Tablet worth 2990/- from http://www.dealsandyou.com on may 22 on advance payment basis. The product was sent through courier and instead of delivering it at home, was delivered to the society guard.
Following issues noted in the received product - (received on 26th May)
1) Torn packaging of the product, not resembling exactly with the photo on website as the photo has been enhanced on website as compared to original product
2) As per instructions the product was to be charges for 4 hours - after 30 mins of charging it turned burning hot and had to be disconnected
3) On second instant of charging it turned on but was not responsive to the touch properly
4) Memory card keeps giving error message on the screen, slot loose probably.
Complaint was made on 28th may morning regarding the product on 0120-672-6777, complaint id - 253201, response period - to contact by 29th Evening
Contacted D&Y again on 30th Morning - NO response received, waiting period of 48 hours advised
Contacted D&Y again on 2nd June Morning - The customer adviser said that - warranty given by vendor, please contact them as they cannot do anything.
My question is that is it not the retailers responsibility to get this corrected/replaced/ returned and pay the money back, as in this case they simply refuse to take the responsibility regarding the same.
