Poor service

I purchased a weighing machine (AVON APD 802 Di) from Hometown, Rajarhat, Kolkata on 23/03. After six months, the machine was found to be defective. It did not switch on after tapping. The machine was bought to the customer care dept of Hometown. However, they refer to contact Avon service centre at Saltlake. However, when I made contact with one Mr. Chatterjee, he promised me to replace the machine and advised to collect it from Hometown. In my second visit to Hometown, I was told that no replacement was possible but it would be repaired. After a week or so, I got a call from Hometown saying that a new machine would be given. Accordingly, I went today to collect it. Now the shop assistant told me that it was repaired by Hometown and not by Avon. When I tested the machine at the HomeTown service centre, I found it was not functioning as it should. A gentle tapping on a circle, as the manual says, did not open the switch. After several jerking on the hard floor, it switches on. This means that it was not repaired at all. I personally blame Mr. Debnath Sanyal and Mr. Biplab Mukherjee for the harassment. And after 3 visits, I am still stuck with a defective machine, What a poor service!! You do not honour the manufacturer's warranty.
