I purchased a HTC EVO 3d hand set on 1st Nov from Univercell, Jayanagar outlet in Bangalore.
From first day itself I started facing the problem of call dropping midway. The call will drop randomly and very frequently. Airtel is my network provider for past almost 3 years in Bangalore, and I was using a Nokia N72 and I never faced this issue before. I checked again by swapping SIM to my old hand set and it works very well. I have another HTC Phone (HTC Desire HD). I checked my SIM in this phone also and again no issues.
But only with this set I faced issues of call dropping
I took it back to Univercell outlet that promptly refused to acknowledge my problem. After some altercation they accepted to send the handset to service center. After 2-3 days they very confidently declared that I have to use a 64K SIM to mitigate this problem. It took me few days to get the new 64K SIM but issue still remained.
I took the handset to HTC Service Center in HSR Layout; Bangalore (Salora International Ltd.) on 22nd Nov. They acknowledged the issue and informed me that he is asking for a replacement handset.
I received the replaced handset on 16th Dec, but again my problem remains same on this new handset as well.
I dropped a mail to [email protected], all i got so far is another mail asking me for my contact detail. i am stuck with a expensive handset that doesn't work, and both HTC and unvercell donot seem to be interested in listening to my problem.
