Defective piece

I bought a new IFB Zephyr EX Dishwasher and the same was installed at my place on 27 July. There have been at least 9 instances of registered complaints on the 'Customer Care Helpline' in less than 2 years. The earliest being in Sep 08, not even 2 months after installation, and the latest being on 19 Apr which has not yet been resolved.

And I sincerely believe that I've been sold a defective piece. Chamber PCB, Magnetic Valve, Circulation Pump, Control PCB - you name it and it has been changed - not once but many a time. The only respite being that the machine is still under Warranty and I don't think it can last any longer.

There is a certain Mr. Bhuwan Joshi who apparently runs your Service franchisee in Gurgaon. His team of technicians - Karim, Harshit, Diwakar, Sanjay, Pankaj have all opened my machine, replaced a part or did something which has not been long-lasting. Crudely speaking all have taken turns in raping the machine. Recently, when on the latest complaint IFB 'trained' technicians could not diagnose the problem, a senior engineer, some Mr. Srikant, from the Company was called to assess and rectify the problem. Also, Mr. Jagat, supposedly Area Incharge for entire Haryana came over to my residence last Saturday.

The senior engineer was a smart fellow... he not only diagnosed the problem but rectified it too... so much so that the machine went out of order the very next day!!! Apparently he left some loose connection in the control PCB, which was set right by one of the technicians named above. But, alas the machine still does not work.

We seek the number of somebody senior who can take an action and we are provided with the mobile number of Mr. Tamim Ahmed, the Regional Sales Manager - North. I try to reach him during the day and he returns my call a little later... trying unsuccessfully to pacify me. I finally tell him to get the defective machine picked up from my residence and replace it with a new one. To this he expresses his inability and tells me that he would need to discuss this internally.

Then today evening Srikant, the Service Engineer again visits my place and is still not able to rectify the problem since the part he sourced from the vendor is wrong.By now we've had enough. Actually all limits have been crossed.

All I want is my machine to be replaced with a new one because I'm not interested in getting the machine 'raped' again.
