Getting Horizontal lines on screen

Hi Sir

I purchased Nokia 5800 Xpress music mobile on 5th jan. my bad luck is i got a display complaint after completing the warrenty. Display is not working fine now. Some horizontal lines are appearing on the display. Nokia care people are telling to handover the phone for observation and software update. However they are not sure about the bug fix with that. They are also telling that this may be hardware issue.

How come i loose my set just for 1 year if it is a hardware problem.

Please advice.
