Handset is hanging and showing no networks while calling somebody

I had buy a nokia c101 handset ten days before but it can't show signal while calling and hang sometimes, and when ask this problem to shopkeeper he said it can't be done.if company selling their product why they don't have service centre nearby the city we had to go udhampur r jammu.please get me out of this problem
