The content of my mail to a customer service personnel of Godrej Interio is self explanatory

Honestly, I am shocked to note no response even after 4 days. What's going wrong with Godrej? Will my case ever reach someone responsible to answer!!

Dear Yogesh

Thank for your positive approach to my problem which no one in your company, namely Mr Golwala and Shamim (although he did try) did anything about.

The details of my problem are as under:

1. In early June, I called up Shamim to complain about my study table, which I had bought vide invoice number 75I/21074246 dt 15/6. The product is study table and the desk does not open.

2. Shamim gave me the call center number to lodge my complaint.

3. I called up call center and was told that complaint is lodged but because of system problem complaint number cannot be generated and I would get the complaint number thru SMS. Also the mechanic would visit. Neither did I get the SMS nor did the mechanic visit.

4. Repeated follow ups - Shamim gave me his Service Head - Mr Golwala's number.

5. I was advised to lodge a fresh complaint, which I did with complaint number 350933 on July 19.

6. Mechanic visited and took invoice copy saying that he would get back and that invoice copy was needed for allowing repair in warranty.

7. No one got back and I called up Mr Golwal who was rude and said that warranty was for 3 months only. Salesman said 1 year, call center person said 1 year warranty and also visiting mechanic said 1 year warranty. But Mr Golwal said 3 month. Exasparated, I said do what ever you can but repair my table as my daughter was unable to study properly.

8. All the while I was made to understand that Mr Golwala was Customer Service head of the organisation and I was wondering how could Service Head of Godrej be so rude.

9. repeated SMS to both Mr Golwala and Shamim went un responded (I still retain in my mobile phone)

10. Finally I visited the Vikhroli showroom, from where I had purchased and was told that Mr Golwal is not service head of Godrej but is a Service executive!!!

11. I was put on to Mr Yogesh, who was the first genuine service person to attend to me. He had the courtesy to call me back at the promised time.

12. I was told that I would be charged approx Rs 1000 but if I Explained my case, it could be done FOC.

13. My intention is not to get FOC if my product was genuinely out of warranty in early June - when i first complained. But I definitely want damages of harassment to me and hardship to my daughter who has not been able to study properly for over 2 months now.

14. I also want to see how sincere Godrej is towards its customers.

PS - I have already turned back 3 prospective customers of yours in our building who asked about Godrej and when I narrated my experience, they decided to remain away from Godrej. Also I have 3 Godrej products in my house - and after this experience - it will not exceed 3.
