Hi,
I ordered for a 5in1 sofa cum inflatable bed from the dealer called Everbright Enterprises. The order was placed over the phone and was received with a day or so. I placed the order by calling 9967884444. The person took the order and the same was delivered for which payment was made by cash and a receipt was given to me for the same stating the product has 3years manufactures warranty.
The receipt is for Rs 3499/-(The cost of the 5in1 sofa cum inflatable bed) and was drawn on 1st October (The day the sofa was delivered to me). The dealers address mentioned on the receipt is Everbright Enterprises, 20, Laxmi Building, V.P. Road, Opera House, Mumbai 400004. The invoice Number is 011009-2.
For few days (about 10-15 days) there was no problem. The sofa is designed in such a way that it has some circular design on it. One day I was sleeping on it and suddenly realized that one side of the bed some leakage is happening. On examination I realized that suddenly in that circular design a small cut is being developed. The very next day I called on the same number and spoke to Mr. Rajiv who assured me that the same would be reported to the manufacture and the issue will be taken care. Along with the bed a puncture set is also available with which I tried repairing the thing but the leakage had no effect.
I removed the air from that side where leakage was happening and used the other side. Then the very next day I realize that a very small hold is being developed in a similar manner on that side to.
I really got annoyed and called that number again. The guy suggested me to get it repaired by some puncture guy and again assured that the manufacture will call me soon.
Till now I am still waiting for a call from the manufacture end. Now when ever I call that number the guy does not attend my call. Once I managed to get in contact with him and when I told him who I am and what is my problem the guy pretended that it’s a wrong number and gave me a story that this number was switched off since 3months as he was not in India for that period.
On checking the website the same number still exists on the web advertising placed by the company. I have even mailed them my complain but till now nothing has happened.
I really don’t know now what to do. I have recently shifted to a new rented place and since I was alone I though this sofa cum bed would be a very good option for me. Now because of this company which assured me about the quality and even provided warranty on the same, have to sleep on the floor.1st of all the bed is not very comfortable as claimed in the advertising because of which I got back ache. Still compromising on that when thesofa has this manufacturers warranty it developed holes because of its design and so I have to sleep on the floor. Their was a day when some of my friends turned up to my place and I had no place to make them sit/sleep and all have to compromise and sit on the floor because of which I was really embarrassed and that gave me mental tension.
I have tried all ways to contact this company but no response from their end. When I last spoke on that number and warned them that I will put up a complain in consumer court the person shameless said “do what ever you want, nothing matters to me”. Its really annoying and seems that the company is a big fraud and is using online medium to fool people.
Please guide me what I should do and how can I get justice for the same. This is really not acceptable. After spending almost Rs.4000/- on the product 1st of all I developed backache, then the holes developed in the bed which made me sleep on the floor and the plain become worse, gave me sleepless nights and I even got humiliated when my friends visited my place and finally I had to spend another 6000/- to purchase a new bed.
This company has really given me sleepless nights and I really request you to please guide me how can I get justice on this matter and if possible please take some serious action against this company.
