Casio digital diary SF2000W
Not functioning properly

Order No. 5923095--Tn. ID.16615425 / CASIO DIIGTAL DIARY sf-w

Gentlemen!

I have received the diary by Courier just today with 'panchmukhi rudrakasha' as a gift! Upon opening, I find that the ‘ON’ and ‘OFF’ keys are not functional. As directed in Manual, I have activated ‘Reset’ and pressed the ‘SET’ key. Letters have appeared on the screen. I have entered a name and pressed SET key, entered the number and pressed SET key and followed the instructions given in the ‘Manual’.

When I try to operate it again, I am not able to activate the ‘ON’ key. The ON & OFF keys are not working. They must be functional; otherwise how can you operate? After the set key is pressed whatever is entered must remain in the memory to recall at will. It’s not happening. I think, there is something wrong with the piece. This piece works only on one battery, whereas the earlier piece I was having was having 3-pieces of batteries.

I have used CASIO Digital Diary 32K for over a decade to my entire satisfaction. The screen has become dark and I was not able to decipher what was appearing on the screen. Therefore, I had discorded it and ordered for this piece, thinking that it would have advanced features and gives me better satisfaction! It is not having even the features that my earlier piece was having! I am rather disappointed. Perhaps, I have misinterpreted the description of the features given on the web. It is supposed to have:

Description of Casio Digital Diary: Model SF-W you have supplied:

· Model no SFW

· Quick and easy switching between Telephone and Fax modes

· Telephone directory

· Memo Function

· Conversion function

· Redial function

· Back Light???

· Schedule???

· Calendar???

· Calculator

· Conversion Mode

· Secret Function

· Data Communication

· Memo

· Secret

· Power Supply: CR2032x1

· Approximate battery life : 2 year

I have a computer, I-Mate with Microsoft Active Synchronization (Synchronization with MS Office Outlook): still I wanted to have this digital diary because I was used to it for over a decade, for making quick references for Anniversaries, Appointments, Reminders, International Time Differences, Age Calculations and several other functions that I should resort to the computer otherwise!!!

Well, what do you want me to do with the piece. When it is not functioning as it should, what use will it be for me? I will send it back post-paid, please replace with a piece that works and has the features that it is supposed to have. Again when battery is replaced, you say the memory will be lost!!! Do you expect me to use it only for its battery life time, not more? No, certainly not!

I would also request you to inform me the address to which the piece should be returned.

Regards,

Ramesh
