I purchased a Casio wrist watch (AW 80), 1& half years back and got scratched the dial glass. The watch is of very good quality and has never troubled me. I wanted to get the dial & casing changed, but the co. & the service centre says that the dial glass & casing are not supplied as a spare, and only wrist band is supplied.
My watch comes with a 2 year warranty & I don't understand why such commonly replaced spares are not supplied. I checked with some dealers in Bangalore who are still selling the same model, and upon my protest for not getting the spares, they intimated that CASIO is following this policy for customers to buy new watch instead of using it after minor repairs. Casio should understand the Indian mindset if they have to survive in India, after sales support for even a product like wrist watch is very important.
