I had tried booking a deal via dealsandyou.com on 28th April. After filling in all the details regarding the credit card and also entering the online transaction password, the deal did not get processed but the amount of Rs. 898 was deducted from the credit card.
After repeated chasing the customer care (via telephone and email) of the company for a month I still haven't got the amount refunded to my credit card. Moreover, the customer care number of the company is NOT a tollfree no.(means you are charged STD rates) and you need to remain on hold for at least 7-10 mins to get someone to respond on the phone!!! Add to it another 7-8 mins of talking to the customer care agent at STD rates.
This is a total sham that the company is running. They have no right to block someone's money for such a long duration of time.
I am not sure what actions need to be taken other than feel hapless about the situation.
