Very expensive product NOT delivered, even after one month, no news of refund, very poor/unresponsive/rude customer-care

I purchased a Samsung smartphone through Timtara on 12/12. Since this was a website which was part of the Google online shopping initiative (GOSF - 2012), I thought it would be safe, and went ahead and placed my order, and paid for it too.

Now it has been 24 days, and there has been absolutely no news about the product,

At the time of placing order, it was assured that delivery would be between 2-3 weeks. Even that is a very long time, compared to other online shopping sites, however, I thought as long as it is sure it will reach me within 3 weeks, it's tolerable.

I called up after 2 weeks... the customer care executive apologised and said it would come by the end of the third week, since the website anyway said 2-3 weeks. I agreed, and waited. At the end of the third week, again there was no shipment, no call, no contact from timtara.

I again called them up.. and after the usual apologies, they again assured it would reach by the end of that week.

So I waited for another couple of days, and again called.

At this point, they said they don't know why the shipment is delayed... and they were absolutely clueless! And they could not assure when I would receive it, if at all. Plus they were extremely reluctant to escalate the issue, but I insisted and they raised a ticket, and I also got to speak to a supervisor. She then assured me that by that same evening, I would get a call back from them, regarding news of the shipment, and yet again, the call never came.

I finally called them up again today, and was stonewalled again by the executive who said I would now have to wait till Monday to get info about the product status. She finally gave me an email ID to write my complaint to. I have done that as well, but no response from them so far.

I'm extremely disappointed with Timtara, it is a nightmarish experience, and I hope I either get my product or my refund back somehow.

I am also disappointed at Google for not vetting e-commerce sites properly before partnering with them for GOSF.
