Auto number: TN-07 BH 9729 .. Drunken drive by autodriver. He hitted a two wheeler of an Software enginner (Company tag is seen)
The autodriver went rash and hitted a two wheeler and went on without stopping.
When the victim managed to get the autodriver in traffic and went on for enquiry. The victim was a software guy. The autodriver was drunken completely. The autidriver gathered a group as stand was next to him.
The autodriver was drunken and The autostand group of drivers started to beat that guy... Trafiic was stunned to see 20 members beating an already hitted Software guy..public watched it and stopped the autowallas from beating that software guy. The group of autodrivers tried to save the drunken auto driver. The victim was the software guy and he was completely with torn shirts and blood allover his hand. The group of auto drivers in Dr MGR road stand (opp to RMZ phase 2) are abusive and arrogant enough to assault him without any notice and with rage... The group of autodrivers beaten them like rowdies and threatened him that they will kill him if he calls 100 or trying to give a complaint .. Software guys are easy targets. No one will come for rescue. Easily money can be extorted. Noone will file complaint . s/w guys will fear for each and every abuse.
Finally the drunken autodriver is saved by thier unity and rowdism. The victim s/w guy is again victimised.
I am also a software engineer to watch the incident helplessly and tried to resolve it as much as i can and feel shamed about my inability to support a fellow software guy from atrocities of drunken autodrivers atrocities.
FYI... No one in the crowd asked about " whether the autodriver is drunken? "
