I was contacted by Barclays Card representative on 21st July to become a member of Barclaycard Priority Circle. I agreed to become the member on following promises given by representative.

1. Discount up to 30% on Electronic Items / Furniture / food Items etc at selective outlets with you have tie up.

2. Dedicated Customer Care No.

3. I will get all things in writting.

4. Call within 4-5- days for Delivery of Gift of Bag worth Rs.-

5. Cash reward of Rs. 500/- on purchase of Rs.30000/- within 90days from the date of becoming the member.

6. 3D/2N Holiday Hotel Stay for 2 adults at selective places. (I am not sure about no of days.)

During conversation with representation I asked him to provide me the name of outlet of Electronic Items with whom you had tie up. He checked and gave me the name of Kohinoor with whom you had tie up all over India. On 27th of July I had gone to Kohinoor Dombivli Dist. Thane to buy a Washing Machine. But Kohinoor has said that they are not aware of such tie up with your Bank so they are unable to give any discount.

Representative had gave me dedicated customer care no of Mumbai i.e. 022-40162380. I tried the said no from my mobile no 9870081750 but to my surprise I got the recorded message saying "We are unable to serve you now please call between 9 am and 6pm during Monday to Saturday. I had tried this again during the week in the evening but i got the same recorded message. I tried again on 3rd of August i.e. Sunday at 01.35pm, to my surprise no got connected but with recorded message "All our representatives are busy Please hold the Line". I was on hold for 19.04 minutes but your representative did not turned up so I hang up the call. You can check this from your record also. I want to know that what type of Dedicated Customer Care No. is this.

Even after sending the mail on 04/08/08 to cancel the membership they had charged me membership charges in bill for period ended 08/08/08.

Even after 7-8 mail reminder and 7-8 times explanation given to representative and last reminder on 25/10/08 to Service Head Ms. Meera Rawat still I am getting atleast 5 phone calls, 5 recorded payment reminder messages as well as 5 SMS.
