Excess Electric Meter Bill

Hi,

I shahid Mohammed Qasim Surve have received an amount of Rs 37, 780 as electric bill for the month of Jan. When the same was discussed with the officer sitting in BEST office he verbally said that the bill is not correct, there is some problem with the meter but he was not clear what was the problem and simply said that you just pay the bill everything will be corrected and the amount will be adjusted in the next bill. I didn’t paid the bill as the bill was not correct and nothing was given in written. This month I received a bill of Rs 39, 465 for the month of Feb.

I cannot pay such a big amount kindly someone please let me know what to do and how can this be corrected,
