Discontinuation of services without valid reason / prior notice

I have a mobile postpaid connection with airtel. In the month of June'08, I received a bill of Rs. -157.07, which included a payment of Rs. 527/- paid by cheque. Now since the last one month call centre executives have been calling me and harrassing me mentioning that "I have a outstanding of Rs. 742/- (they are claiming payment of Rs. 527/- have been reverted back to my bank, which is not true). In between this, i received an invoice amounting to Rs. 258/-, which was paid on time. Due to wrong doings in accounts of airtel, outgoing as well as incoming calls to my mobile have been blocked. This is truely blackmailing on part of the service provider.
