Error in the spelling of resident place

Respected Sir.

I m Ashwin Somabhai Mehra. My pass port no is F8114454 and date of issue is 17/5. Now I have come to know that in my passport there is a spelling mistake. In the address the name of city instead of VADODARA the word VADODAR is printed. There is a very small mistake.By mistake 'A' is not printed. This small mistake can creat a great problem. I want to apply for visitor visa during the process i have come to know this defect. Its more than 2 years since it is issued. In my form i had written VADODARA. In my whole family's pass port there is no mistake but in my this occur.

Please guide me as quickly as possible what I shold do now. Should I apply for a new passport. If so where shoul I reply? Which documents are now required? What will be the fee. And how i should pay.

Please reply sir quickly. Is it required to come at the office at Ahmedabad? Or can it be done by net or at post office?
