Wrong Feedback to Axis Bank

I have apllied for a credit card with Axis Bank after much persuation by their sales staff. Axis Bank rejected issuance of the card citing the reason being negative feedback by CIBIL and asked to enquire with CIBIL with control number as reference.

I have contacted CIBIL on why they have issued negative feedback. A chain of letters followed first asking the details, residence address and account numbers etc. Finally, they said that nothing is against me in their databank followed with vague replies.

The copies have been marked to Axis Bank & Banking Ombudsman also. I have apprehension that they have spoiled my image in financial circle and the same may follow in future. I shall be in trouble in case of genuine needs. I continue to maintain exceptional relationship with some of the PSU & private banks without any default or dispute.

Please advice on how to fix them for such irresponsible & uncontrolled process?
