Compaq Laptop Poor product quality & service

Reference: Compaq Presario V6000 laptop S/N: CNF7192F84 P/N: GG228PA#ACJ Sev Tag: V6307TU

My laptop was working fine, until I had to go to the service center for adapter problem. They ave just replaced the adapter saying that it is due to earthing problem. I had checked the earling & electric lines & found them ok. Now the same issue was repeatedly occurring (adapter getting highly heated & not working, earthing ok). I have been repeatedly facing the adapter problem without any permanent solution. The issue was 1st raised on 12/06 via Jobno: 18727 at Kolkata (The laptop was in guarantee). They have replaced the adapter without sorting out the root cause, due to which the problem is reoccurring. My question is that how to solve the issue? Why it was not attended properly when in guarantee period (at present the guarantee period is over)?

Moreover I have also made a complaint via the Compaq HP website, but they have't get back to me yet. It appears that we customers are at the mercy of these vendors.
