Sub: Purchse of Compaq Presario Laptop

Dear Sir,
It is a distress notice for not replacing or refunding the cost of Laptop which I have purchased from M/s. Alisha Computers, Rourkela. The above noted Laptop has been purchased from M/s. Alisha Computer Shop on 24.06.2009 upon payment of Rs.34, 219/- including VAT for my son Mr. Sashi Kumar Sahoo. The main purpose of purchasing the Laptop is solely for academic purpose of my son, who is now pursing his studies (2nd Year B.Tech (Mechanical) at Bhadrak, Orissa under Biju Patnaik University of Technology.
After purchase of the aforesaid Laptop my son took it to his Institution for his use. There, he found that some of the keys are not working/functioning properly. He brought the Laptop to Rourkela and lodged a complaint before M/s. Alisha Computer Shop, Rourkela on 2.8.2009. But the Alisha Computer’s owner advised me to go to the HP Service Centre, which is situated at Qrs. No. D/7, Koelnagar, Rourkela. Accordingly the Laptop was shown to the Service Centre and the Service Centre received the Laptop and issued a Service Call Report on 6.8.2009.
As per Service Centre t, we were told that the Laptop will be set right within seven days, accordingly I have attended the Service Centre after seven days but we were informed that some other problems are there & they require seven more days for rectifying the problem. In this manner both the Computer shop as well as the Service Centre has misdirected/misled me, time and again I had to attend them but till now I have not received back my Laptop. My son‘s study is badly hampering. In this process more than one month has already been passed.
Under the aforesaid backdrop of events, the cost my Laptop may kindly be refunded at the earliest, failing which I shall seek redressal of my grievance as per law, which kindly note.
