I bought a Motorola ZN 200, a new model in the first week of December from Bangalore Harbour Layout Brnach. The guy at the outlet sold something called care pack, which is like mobile insurance.
To my ill luck, my mobile fell down and the display was damaged in the first week of January. As i am in Trichy, TN, i went to Chennai for giving it for repair on 6 Jan. I was told it would take a maximum of one week to get it fixed. I agreed. Keeping what they said in mind, i booked my tickets for the 13th of January to Chennai. When i went, they said that the handset was not ready due to the non availability of spare. It was atrocious. The manager guy at the Purasawakkam branch was so ill mannered and not at all courteous. He argued saying he said i could come and collect it as i had booked the tickets. So, it was a loss of 750 rupees for me for the bus fair.
Today, when i called him again, he gave me a Delhi number to call and find out. First of all, the girl who answered the phone didn't speak or understand English. With great difficulty, i explained what the problem was and told her i wanted to speak to her manager. She asked for the IMEI number, when provided, she puts me on hold for TEN minutes just to come back and tell me that they dont have the handset. ATROCIOUS!!! When i told her, i knew that already and wanted to speak to her manager, she puts me on hold for another TEN minutes, only to come back and tell me that i need to contact the Chennai office. This girl kept talking not allowing me or giving me a chance to talk. Literally arguing. Does HOTSPOT UNDERSTAND WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS? IS THIS THE KIND OF SERVICE THAT YOU OFFER? TALK BACK AT THE CUSTOMER AND ARGUE?
Now, i finally called up Chennai branch today, they have told me that the spares will be made available in 2 days' time, but they cant committ a date to me. I am leaving the country on the 7th of February.
I hope i get a fair solution to this. I think i have had enough patience to deal with you guys.
