Laptop not supported

I bought a laptop from canada with extended warranty form best buy store, this warranty is international/global. My laptop got display problem when i am in visit to india.

upon showing the laptop in HP india service center, they say that this laptop is out of warranty when the warrenty is till another thing they say is they wont repair laptop since this model is not supported in india.

when the laptop is not supported whats the use of international warranty? am i duped by HP and best buy store? help me out
