Hello,
HSBC Contacted me for a platinum card, and offered, that they would upgrade my existing gold card into a platinum carm and charge me a one time joining fee of 3999. In return they will give me a gift worth 7000.
They took this request in the last week of January. I received an sms on my mobile stating that i am supposed to pay the joining fee for my card ending with ****XXXX number till 3rd march, without sending me the credit card. I received my Credit Card on 5th of March and i received my Statement on 10th of march. Next up i received another sms that i am supposed to now pay an amount of 79990 against my credit card by 3rd of April. (Please note that i have not used this card even once so far).
Next Up i get a call from another HSBC Credit Card agent saying that the platinum card is free of cost and there is no Joining Free. I have started to get calls from there recovery agents who have resorted to use rude language.
My Complaints are as following.
1. They have conned me into paying a joining fee.
2. They have doubled the joining fee by applying false late fee charges, when they had not even delived the card to me in time. (Even if i wanted to make the payment, i would not be able to because i never had any card number/account number to make any payment against it)
I expect a full reversal on this joining fee, and i should not be liable to pay a single penny untill i spend some money on it.
My Card Number / Account Number is : 4862698900306431.
I need some assistance in filing an official complaint in Consumer Court of India. Any help would be appriciated.
Thanks,
Gunish Rai Chawla
