Hello,
I held a HSBC credit card : 4384599997369599 and it got closed 4 years back.
Open Date: 25-09
Closed Date: 17-01
After i got this card i never activated this card and not used it for any transaction.
Recently i got information from CIBIL report that there is High Credit: 1, 170 WRITTEN OFF against my name from this card. When i didn't even activated the card how there could be a balance of Rs.1170? I don't even know what contributed to the above said amount. I never got any statement from HSBC.
The "WRITTEN OFF" status was posted on "28-02" from the HSBC bank.
I called up HSBC Credit card call center, they asked me to call collection and recovery department in bangalore, again collection and recovery department asked me go to near by branch, i visited HSBC MG Road Branch, they said they are not dealing with credit card, so asked me to visit HSBC Basavangudi branch. But again they said they dont have any info and asked me to call the chennai collection center. When i called them they didn't respond responsibly. They asked me to call after 3 days.
Now what can i do? even though i didnt spend anything from that card? i am ready to pay off that amount.
But i want that "WRITTEN OFF" statement to be removed against my name. Please let me know what i can do for that.
Requesting for a faster resolution.
Thanks & Regards,
K R Srinivasan
