Post Office - National Saving Certificate
Non payment of NSC on maturity

Dear Sir,

I had procured five nos national saving certificates bearing nos. 27BB 789759, 27BB 789761, 27BB 789762, 27BB 760, 27BB 789763 each value of Rs.500/- at Post Office - MOUDA, Dist. Nagpur, Maharashtra on 28.03.2003. I had been transferred from Mouda to Kakinada, Dist. East Godavari, AP in the month of May.

I had sent these certificates to Mouda Post Office along with authority letter through one of my friend on maturity i.e 28.03.09. They refused to give money and advised us to submitt the certificates at Post Office near to present residence.

As per their advise I had been to Post Office - Gandhinagar - 533 004, Kakinada, Dist. East Godavari, AP to surrender the certificates on 27.04.09. They also refused to take original certificates and they took my application and xerox copies of certificates, not acknowledged the same and told us "It will take one month to give money". I had been to Post office on 29.05.09 and enquired simply they told us that there is no information from Mouda as and when we get the confirmation from them we will inform".

There may be reasons for delay lack of Communication, Negligence and attitude of concerned officers. We are facing lot of problems. Non of them from both the offices were not communicated properly not respond timely, it will unnesserry mental tension like us investors. Now a days all of them allowed E-Payments & E-Clearance, but in this system they were not cleared my funds even two months of maturity. Even though they were ill treated like us customers, so non of them were invested in this schemes if cleared amount not refunded timely. Amount may less we are all working class employees, lives were not possible each and every time, it will costed more than what the amount realised on my investment. Who bare this lose, from whom I will claim this monetory loss of negligency of Post offices.

I request you to kindly look in to the matter and do the needful help

Kind Regards,

Bhargavachari Chintoju.
