I m Dinesh Patel from Mumbai was holding a credit card of HSBC . i received a call from Delhi Hsbc recovery team form an Excecutive Amit that my total outstanding for the month of may was RS 24, 000/- however it could be settled so i agreed to make a settlement of Rs 15, 000/-, so i told him to send me the settlement letter of the RS 15, 000/- andafter receiving the letter i will pay the said amount. But Amit told me that it is the HSBC bank policy that i will have make the payment first and then only i will get the settlement letter. I agreed to his term and made a payment Rs 2, 000/- in cash and rest of the amount by Cheque of Rs 13, 000/- dated (26-5-09). The cheque payment was also cleared on 29-5-09 . After the making the settlement payment also i m receiving call from the same Delhi HSBC that i m having an outstanding amount of Rs 10, 000/- more and atleast i should pay least amount of Rs 3000/- to avoid my name going in CIBIL list. and they also said that your card was not settled.
