HSBC Credit Card
Outstanding for non-used credit card

Sir,

HSBC card No- 4384 5999 1539 3119 was issued to me in July'05.

At the time of issuing, I was told that this card was free of charges.

I NEVER USED this card.

This card was cancelled in Aug/06 by the Bank.

I cut the card into four pieces and dropped it into HSBC drop box in Oct'06.

In Sep'08 I received a call from the bank to pay Rs.14000/- as outstanding.

I contacted Customer Care who confirmed that this card was NEVER USED but they were unable to tell the reason for outstanding.

I received a bill with outstanding of Rs.20457.45 in July'09.

I had correspondence with Mr. K.C.Mahesh and Ms. Sathya Srinivasan at Chennai who gave me a number of debt management official (011-4149770).

I contacted there who gave me another numbers (0120-2517601/611/622/629), but all numbers are found not existing.

Now I am submitting this on the site with the hope to solve the problem and cancel the amount wrongly debited against me.
