After using bsnl for 2yrs, suddenly i dont have network range

I have been using cellone since it has started. And i have been successfully using it with Htc since 1yr. Suddenly, my range went off and i am not able to call or get calls.when asked helpline, they ask me to purchase new cellphone as this htc is not supported by bsnl... how ridiculous...
