Sending spam messages on my mobile phone

I want to register the complain against India today. I am receiving ads on daily basis from India Today. It says about some offer. I do not want to receive any such spam message. I do not know how these guys got my mobile number. I have registered my email id to Do No Disturb listing. But even then I am getting it. Is there any way I can un-subscribe to these spam messages.
